VINELAND ESTATES WINERY
For over thirty years, VINELAND ESTATES WINERY has continually elevated the wine and culinary experience in Niagara in the unforgettable landscape of undulating vineyards overlooking Lake Ontario. Savour the wines that are a reflection of this unique growing area.
Stretch your legs on a leisurely guided walk through the century gardens. At this picturesque venue, extensive vineyards on the bench of the Niagara Escarpment provide the stunning backdrop to a unique cluster of carefully restored historic buildings.
Your tour of the property climaxes with a BRUT sparkling wine reception. Take time to mingle with other wine lovers while enjoying a carefully arranged artisanal cheese platter. All wines and cheese are available for purchase from The Market Upstairs, their gourmet food and cheese market!
HENRY OF PELHAM WINERY
Get ready for something special! This winery is located on land acquired by the Pelham ancestors circa 1778. Henry of Pelham Family Estate Winery was a founding member of the Vintners Quality Alliance (VQA). With the VQA system, Canada joins other leading wine-producing countries in developing a body of regulations and high standards for its finest wines.
At HENRY OF PELHAM WINERY we will enjoy a wonderful lunch in the COACH HOUSE followed by a tour and tasting. Our distinguished guide will be none other than Paul Speck, President of HENRY OF PELHAM WINERY! Don’t miss this opportunity to meet one of the most active advocates in promoting and developing the premium Niagara wine industry.
NIAGARA ON THE LAKE
Enjoy a little free time in historic NIAGARA ON THE LAKE – one of the prettiest towns in the country. Enjoy a boutique shopping experience at the many quaint shops which line the Main Street. Find delightful, unexpected treasures in what is often referred to as the loveliest town in Ontario.
TRIUS WINERY
Our forth and final stop is TRIUS WINERY at HILLEBRAND. The winery has been producing the finest in terroir wines since 1979. They grow grapes in four vineyards: Ghost Creek, Carlton Vineyard, Clark Farm and the Backyard Vineyard. Each is different in the subtleties of its personality and each expresses the very spirit of the soil in which they are grown.
Our tour and tasting will guide you through the winemaking world. You will literally taste the path of a grape from vineyard to a finished wine product. Watch the Cellar Team work in the Press House and explore the White and Red Barrel Cellars.
Leave at approximately 5:00 pm for return trip to Toronto.
