A gorgeously ripe wine coming out of the warm 2012 vintage, this merlot shows loads of ripe cassis, raspberry and cherry notes alongside aromas of vanilla, sweet spice and subtle cherry tobacco. Rich and concentrated on the palate with fine tannin and bright acidity, flavours echo the nose with sweet baking spice, vanilla bean and dark berry fruit. This is drinking very well now – try with fall-inspired dishes of roast beef, grilled eggplant or lamb stew.
