It’s no secret around these here parts we’re big fans of gin.
Gin and tonic, in fact, is our official cocktail of summer. So being that today is bright and sunny and just begging for Happy Hour to take place on the patio, we’re pretty darn sure the occasion calls for a drop or two of gin. But, being that this is Ontario in October, there’s a bit of a cool breeze in the air, which suggests the need for a drink with a bit of weight and warmth.
Enter the Negroni.
A perfect blend of bitter floral and with a hint of sweet, the Negroni offers delicious satisfaction on sunny, yet crisp, afternoons.
Add all three liquors to an ice-filled shaker, mix, and pour over fresh ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with a generous twist of orange. Or, if you’re like us and don’t have orange, lemon will do just fine.
