Niagara is beautiful during harvest time: there’s an energy in the crisp, clean air, the sun is (usually) shining and the wine is flowing!

Join us in Niagara Saturday, September 29 as we visit three wineries for private tours & tastings; joined by some of Niagara’s leading wine makers and winery owners, we’ll get unique insight into life at a winery while sipping and sampling some of Ontario’s best bottles.

Itinerary:

8:20am – Board the our luxury coach in front of the Rogers Centre, on Front Street at Blue Jays Way (there’s plenty of parking, and is easily accessible by transit – just get off at either St. Andrew’s Station or Union Station)

8:30am – Bon voyage Toronto!

10am – Arrive at Vineland Estate, an award winning winery and one of the first in Niagara. Enjoy a private vineyard walk and then head inside for our first wine tasting of the day!  After, enjoy some time in Vineland’s stunning boutique, to pick up a bottle of something special, a crystal wine decanter — or The Wine Sisters’ favourite: Fracktals Chocolate!

Noon – The coach leaves for our next stop: The Foreign Affair Winery – the only winery in Niagara to make wines in the appassimento style of Amarone.  Meet Len & Marisa Crispino, the couple who traded in their corporate lives to realize their dream of opening a winery.  Here, we will enjoy a picnic lunch and wine tasting where Erin & Courtney will lead a Q&A with the Crispinos about what it’s really like to “live the dream!”

2:45pm – We reach our final winery of the day, Flat Rock Cellars, where we will be given the inside look into a cellar at harvest time.  Lead by FRC’s enigmatic proprietor, Ed Madronich, we will see the inner workings to a busy winery during its most crucial time of year.  After our personal tour, we enjoy a private tasting over looking the vineyards.  Taste something you love? Enjoy a few moments in the gift shop to pick up the bottle you just gotta have.

5pm – All aboard!  We leave Niagara to return to Toronto, trying not to shed a tear and dreaming of the day when we will come back.

7pm – Arrive in Toronto at Front Street and Blue Jays Way.

Cost: $185 +HST per person (this includes all staff & driver gratuities, tours, tastings and picnic lunch)

Notes:

While anyone can visit any of these wineries (and we encourage you to do so), the experience you get with us is unique to The Wine Sisters; we are able to offer you up close and personal access to the wineries, owners and wine makers after carefully forged relationships we have built over the years.  What we offer is made available especially for us and can not be replicated for other groups.

Niagara at harvest is very busy and unexpected things happen.  All wineries are subject to change, but it is guaranteed we will visit three wineries and enjoy a lunch, while meeting and chatting with the winery owners and/or wine makers.

This tour will go rain or shine! Please wear weather appropriate gear such as rain boots, a sun hat or bring a light jacket in case a warm day gets chilly!

You are responsible for your transportation to and from the Toronto drop of and pick up point at Front Street & Blue Jays Way.

The Wine Sisters are Smart Serve Certified and respectfully operate within Ontario’s laws. Please enjoy responsibly.
